CALLING CARDS: you can collect calling cards (whether national or international) for service members to call home. Please remember that service members may be deployed within the United States, as well as overseas. BLANK GREETING CARDS: to make blank greeting cards for service members overseas to send home, since shopping facilities are often not available. Birthday, Anniversary, Thinking of You, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.).

	HONORING VETERANS: you can honor the veterans who are connected to your school or community by hosting an assembly or special event to show your appreciation for their service to our country. For more information, please contact the Emergency Services Director at the above email or phone number. This is a good project to do for Veteran's Day or around Memorial Day. OPERATION ENDURING RESPONSE: is a national letter writing campaign, sponsored by the Red Cross, connecting America's school children with the United States military fighting in the war against terrorism. Children write letters on the 11th of every month. The letters are then delivered in bulk by the Red Cross to the men and women fighting overseas. Thousands of letters have already been delivered from hundreds of schools in over 38 states.
